Ilmberger - Upper Tank Cover for R 1250 GS Adventure

The upper tank cover for the BMW R 1250 GS Adventure from model year 2019 replaces the original component while using the original attachment points. Most prominent are the weight savings (as a rule, a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity.

The carbon part is manufactured entirely from pre-preg material in an autoclave in accordance with the latest guidelines, and in an additional step – as usual for Ilmberger – it is covered with a clear plastic coating for increased protection against impact damage and the elements. This protective effect of the plastic coating far exceeds that of the usual clear lacquer covering in terms of scratch resistance and durability. The coating not only scores technically, however, it also visually accentuates the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
