The tried and tested MARATHON windshield ensures relaxed riding thanks to its effective protection against wind and weather, its ergonomics as well as its distinctive touring comfort, hassle-free riding and thus incidentally also ensures greater passive safety.
With its position inclined towards the rider and the sophisticated contour, it provides optimum relief from wind pressure for the head, upper body and shoulders, as well as significantly reduced turbulence - even at motorway speeds. When the windshield is adjusted upwards, a flow channel opens up that effectively reduces turbulences - and water on your visor during rainy rides - via the backflow from the windshield. The MARATHON windshield thus unleashes its full potential on long as well as short tours and at all times of the year. This means it offers the best protection and the perfect ergonomics for all body sizes, and prevents any kind of muscle tension.
The original setting mechanism can continue to be used with the MARATHON. In order to stabilise the original windscreen attachment - which more than a few riders describe as being unstable - we recommend our windshield reinforcement (#90156-002).
The high-quality workmanship can be seen on the first glance through the scratch-proof, fuel and UV-proof, 5 mm thick windshield: clear transparency with no irritating visual distortions. Another trademark: the hand-polished, all-round edge of this windshield makes separate edge protection redundant. Only in this way can the windshield offer aerodynamic benefits and reduced wind noises, as well as an undisturbed view to the front. All of this enables laidback, thoroughly relaxed and upright sitting.
